HOW YOU CAN HELP

Sir Duke

Over 500 Dogs Saved

Approved for 501(c)(3)

Passion for Paws Memorial Animal Shelter Inc. is pleased to announce that they have received approval of their 501(c)(3) application from the Internal Revenue Service. Passion for Paws Memorial Animal Shelter is now a recognized non-profit charitable organization. This means that all donations to Passion for Paws Memorial Animal Shelter Inc. retroactive to the founding of the organization on August 12, 2013 are now fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. “This designation is a major milestone in our journey and allows us to finally step up our pace,” said Patsy Vigil Scherrer, Founder and President of Passion for Paws Memorial Animal Shelter Inc. “We have already achieved so much in a short time relying solely on our own funding, but this non-profit status will enable us to do more by soliciting funding as a recognized charity.” Passion for Paws Memorial Animal Shelter is asking for monetary donations to help fund the shelter’s sustainability. With winter approaching an enclosed shelter building is needed to keep the dogs warm. The cost of the building is $2000. They have collected $200 so far and need $1800 more to purchase the building from Home Depot. There are two ways you can make a donation:  1.  Send your check to Passion for Paws Memorial Animal Shelter, Inc P.O. Box 175 Nixon, Texas 78140. 2.  You may also donate through the organization’s website at http://www.nixonpassionforpaws.com by clicking on the PayPal button. After you get to the PayPal website link, a box will ask you for their email address. Enter passionforpaws@yahoo.com then click send money. Choose Friends or Family. Isn't this so beautiful - Sir Duke, one of Nixon, Texas's rescue dogs at Grace Place in San Antonio. Also pictures from his recent trip to the San Antonio Airport to great passengers awaiting their flights. He is so blessed to have been adopted by The Wimp Family. We just love updates on the dogs we pulled from the Nixon pound. 6 years ago all dogs were getting put down because there wasn't an Animal Shelter in Nixon. Now they are getting a second chance in life all because someone took that step to fight to save their innocent lives. Looking at these pictures just melts our hearts with joy & happiness @ Passion For Paws Memorial Animal Shelter.

On April 12, 20019 William Wimp celebrated the 20th anniversary of Paws for Service at the annual banquet.
Sir Duke was recognized for his 100th visit as a comfort therapy dog. The Wimp's were honored to have Patsy Vigil Scherrer and her husband Michael in attendance.
Patsy was responsible for saving Sir Duke from being euthanized, after he was surrendered by his owner to the Nixon, TX pound.
Her love and dedication to helping dogs get a second chance began this incredible journey of service to others.
